Eggbutt Dr Bristol snaffle, made from stainless steel using the investment cast, lost wax method for the highest quality finish. The Dr bristol is often confused with the french link as both have a plate in the middle, but the Bristol snaffle is at the more severe end of the bitting spectrum. The centre plate in a Dr bristol eggbutt is angled and flat edged, causing it to dig into the horses tongue when a strong contact it taken.
