The Shires Blue Sweet Iron Bevel with Lozenge allows mild leverage and offers a little more control, promoting outline, head carriage and responsiveness.

The loose brass alloy discs in the centre can help to soothe a fussy tongued horse.

Blue sweet iron is an excellent material for the mouthpiece of bits, as it oxidises easily whch encourages the horse to salivate and assists in softness and acceptance of the bit. The addition of brass alloy inserts produces a warm, more palatable bit. Please note the blue colour wlll fade with use.

The smaller sizes of this bit come with smaller rings to ensure the bit remains in proportion.

Mouthpiece thickness: 15mm.

Inside Ring Diameter: 4.5" - 5" with 55mm ring, 5.5" with 70mm rings
