The Shires Blue Sweet Iron Hanging Cheek with Lozenge exerts a little poll pressure to encourage flexion. The brass alloy double joint distributes pressure over both the tongue and bars of the mouth to encourage mouthing and contact.

Blue sweet iron is an excellent material for the mouthpiece of bits, as it oxidises easily whch encourages the horse to salivate and assists in softness and acceptance of the bit. The addition of brass alloy inserts produces a warm, more palatable bit. Please note the blue colour wlll fade with use.
