This Shires Blue Sweet Iron Tom Thumb with Lozenge has a lifting action so can help reduce the horse leaning on the bit. Attaching the reins to the lower rings will increase the severity, so should be used with care.

Blue sweet iron is an excellent material for the mouthpiece of bits, as it oxidises easily whch encourages the horse to salivate and assists in softness and acceptance of the bit. The addition of brass alloy inserts produces a warm, more palatable bit. Please note the blue colour wlll fade with use.
