This Shires Blue Sweet Iron Pelham with Brass Lozenge is often used to help with control. The lozenge distributes pressure over both the tongue and bars of the mouth. Can be used with double reins or Pelham roundings.

Blue sweet iron is an excellent material for the mouthpiece of bits, as it oxidises easily whch encourages the horse to salivate and assists in softness and acceptance of the bit. The addition of brass alloy inserts produces a warm, more palatable bit. Please note the blue colour wlll fade with use.

The smaller sizes of this bit come with smaller rings to ensure the bit remains in proportion.

Mouthpiece thickness: 14mm.

Cheek Piece Height: 4.5" with 125mm ring, 5" with 130mm rings, 5.5" - 6" with 140mm rings
