The Shires Sweet Iron Lozenge Flat Ring Eggbutt has fixed rings to prevent pinching, whilst the sweet iron mouthpiece encourages salivation. The lozenge avoids a nutcracker action.

Sweet iron is an excellent material for the mouthpiece of bits, as it oxidises easily whch encourages the horse to salivate and assists in softness and acceptance of the bit. The copper helps most horses to salivate, relax and have a more relaxed and supple jaw which helps control and communication with the rider.

The smaller sizes of this bit come with smaller rings to ensure the bit remains in proportion.

Mouthpiece thickness: 14mm.

Inside Ring Diameter: 4.5" - 5" with 55mm ring, 5.5" - 6" with 75mm rings
