This Shires Sweet Iron Hollow Mouth Loose Ring Bit can discourage fixing as it has much more movement than a fixed cheek. The hollow mouth is significantly lighter than those with a solid mouthpiece.

Sweet iron is an excellent material for the mouthpiece of bits, as it oxidises easily whch encourages the horse to salivate and assists in softness and acceptance of the bit.

Mouthpiece thickness: 18mm.

Inside Ring Diameter: 4.5" - 5" with 50mm ring, 5.5" - 6" with 65mm ring
