The Shires Sweet Iron Jointed Bevel Bit allows mild leverage and offers a little more control, promoting outline, head carriage and responsiveness.

Sweet iron is an excellent material for the mouthpiece of bits, as it oxidises easily whch encourages the horse to salivate and assists in softness and acceptance of the bit.

Mouthpiece thickness: 14mm.

The smaller sizes of this bit come with smaller rings to ensure the bit remains in proportion.

Inside Ring Diameter: 4.5" - 5" with 55mm ring, 5.5" with 70mm ring
