The Shires Universal Sweet Iron with Lozenge combines poll pressure and leverage for a mild gag action.

Sweet iron is an excellent material for the mouthpiece of bits, as it oxidises easily whch encourages the horse to salivate and assists in softness and acceptance of the bit.The copper helps most horses to salivate, relax and have a more relaxed and supple jaw which helps control and communication with the rider.

The smaller sizes of this bit come with smaller rings to ensure the bit remains in proportion.

Mouthpiece thickness: 14mm.

Cheek Piece Height: 4.5" - 5" with 115mm ring, 5.5" - 6" with 130mm ring
