Scoot Boot 'Build Your Own' Fit Kit (Price is a deposit only)

How to use this listing:

You can hire as few or as many Scoot Boot fitting shells as you wish in one order for the one hire fee. Add all the shells you wish to hire to your basket, each shell will have a £20 deposit on it, so if you add 3 shells, the total will be £60, 6 shells the total would be £120 etc. The hire agreement will be based upon the shells delivered in one delivery (so if you place a new order with other shells to hire on it, it will be a new hire agreemet for that order). Ideally we say to try an absolute minimum of 3: The size the horse measures, and the size up and down. However, ideally having at least a couple up and down and including some slim fit (if you are round or slightly longer than wide) is the best option to try, to cover more possibilities. 

Terms of Hire:

The price charged is a deposit on each of the Scoot boot fit kit shells only, all the shells you have on the same order makes up your individual 'fit kit', but the hire charge is the same no matter how many shells you have (in the same order). When the shells are returned within 14 days of receipt (clean, dry and undamaged) you will be refunded less the hire charge. If you return all the shells in your fit kit to us and wish to PURCHASE a pair of Scoot boots at the time of return, you will be refunded less £10 hire/admin fee. If you decide to return your fit kit and NOT order any boots, you will be refunded the price charged less £20 hire/admin fee. If the fit kit shells are returned later than the 2 weeks agreed hire period, there is a £10 per week charge (regardless of if you buy boots or not). Please note you will be responsible for returning the shells to us at your cost, and we are not able to refund you until all the shells you hired have been received by us, so we do recommend a recorded method of postage. Scoot boot shells that are returned to us damaged/ broken or dirty will be refunded less the cost to put them right again. 

Example: You wish to hire the sizes 2 regular, 3 regular, 2 slim and 3 slim to try. You add each of these sizes to your basket in turn. Your basket will then show the 4 boots at a (depost) cost of £80. When you place the order, these 4 boots now consititue your 'fit kit', and the hire agreement covers the 4 shells. When you return the boots, if you place an order for Scoots, you would be refunded £70 for the shells (£80 less the £10 admin/hire fee). If you return the boots and don't purchase boots, you would be refunded £60 (£80 less the £20 admin/hire fee). If you returned the boots after 3 weeks instead of the intital hire period of 2 weeks, there would be a £10 fee for every late week applicable to the group of shells (not each individual shell),

Fitting Tips:

Watch the video on this listing before your kit arrives. It is not an official video, and does use the older style shells (higher slot) but a lot of the points are very helpful still. Take note of the shape of the horses hoof she is using to try the shells on, this is the shape/ trim style that Scoots are designed to fit (as are all close fitting boots). Before you try Scoot (or any hoot boot), make sure that your horse has had a good trim suitable for a working barefoot horse in the last few days. If you are unable to have all the flare addressed at this stage, Scoot boots may not be for you yet and you may need another boot until the flare has gone. Scoot boots will stretch, so a close fit is important.
