The Scootboot TheraRide is one of the most innovative hoof boots on the market. The Thera-Ride combines therapeutic support with the rideability of the classic Scootboot, so your horse can enjoy additional support, even after they’ve healed.

The Scootboot TheraRide offers the ability for hoof care professionals to change the pads that are inset into the base of the boot, to suit the individual horses needs.

The Scootboot TheraRide features:

A Dual Purpose Design: Scoot boot TheraRide is the only therapeutic boot on the market suitable for both therapy and riding, so you can support your horse through recovery and back to activity.
Shock Absorption: The Thera ride hoof boot features a specially designed pad of thermoplastic polyurethane, that absorbs shock and helps to reduce strain on muscles and tendons.
Ideal for Older Horses: Maintains mobility in ageing horses, potentially reducing arthritis progression and extending their active years.
Enhanced Durability and Comfort: Water-resistant gaiters helps to prevent rubbing, and the open design provides excellent ventilation and drainage.
Durable and Lasting Therapy Pads: Each Scootboot TheraRide comes with highly shock-absorbing and long-lasting therapy pads.

Scootboot TheraRide boots come with a host of accessories and options including:

4 mud strap sleeves
2 spare front straps
4 knob hooks
2 rear screws
6 mud straps
2 bulb straps
2 Bulb Strap Extenders to fit high or underrun heels more precisely
2 Scootboot Bulb Strap Gaiter to help prevent chafing, and adding extra comfort on long rides
Multiple adjustment settings for heel bulbs, screws, and straps to ensure a precise, adaptable fit
2 Therapy Pads, suitable for everyday riding and horses with issues including:

- Transitioning from metal shoes to barefoot

- Thin soles

- Damaged soles, due to previous laminitic events for example

- Bruised soles

- Navicular disease/ syndrome

- Pedal osteitis

2 Lightweight EVA pads:Please note these foam pads are only suitable for very light/ occasional use. They are a 'consumable' pad that will only last a very short time and not designed for daily/ long term use like the yellow pad.

Please note that Scoot have alerted us that the leaflet in the Theraride spare kit may have a misprint regarding the spares included, the list above is the correct inventory.

Once the correct fit is confirmed, we recommend securing the Rear Screws with Loctite.

Important storeage instructions for hoof boots:

Please ensure you store your ScootBoots in their net bag ONLY and NOT placed (even in their bag) in any other type of other box/ container. As heat and certain chemicals can affect the material boots/ straps are made from, they should also not be left in a car that may become hot, and should be stored out of direct sunlight and not come in to contact with any preparations such as fly spray or hoof oils etc. Failure to do this could lead to the boots and/or straps perishing (and is not covered under Scoots warranty).
