The EasyCare Sneaker has been designed to fit a much wider range of shapes and sizes of hooves than a lot of other styles of boot, and can be used for a wide range of purposes too. The Sneaker hoof boot is made to ride in, but can also be used for turnout and therapeutic use, which makes it one of the most versatile boots on the market.
The Easyboot Sneaker is the most pliable hoof boot in the EasyCare range, and has been designed to allow the hoof maximum flexibility. The Easyboot Sneaker sole provides a new tread design, and is engineered from a blend of rubber and urethane. This material absorbs shock, protects the sole, wears well and allows the most hoof mechanism of any boot in the EasyCare range.
The Easyboot Sneaker is very quick and easy to apply and remove, due to the large, overlapping hook and loop upper pattern, which keeps the boot secure while the horse is in motion. One of the most important features of this boot is the patent-pending strapping system which locks the heel in place to reduce twisting and improve boot retention. This feature will be a great help to horses with less than ideal hooves, so especially good when transitioning for example. The replaceable front strap is also quick and easy to fasten.
The Easyboot Sneaker is made in a regular and narrow fit, and is sold individually.
IMPORTANT SIZING NOTE!
We have found that the Sneaker can come up a little tighter on the length on some horses, so if on the border between two sizes for the length, opt to try the larger size (where the width still works).
This means that the Sneaker can work with some wider than long hooves. If your width is at the very top of the width parameter of a boot and the length is no more than 10mm wider than long. For example, a hoof W110mm and L100mm could try the size 0. The greatest sucess with this is when the horse has larger heel bulbs which increase the overall bootable length.
When choosing and using any hoof boot:
Hoof boots should be sized and fitted within 7 days of a trim suitable for a working barefoot horse (or at a time when there is nothing at all to trim, and there is still a good rolled edge). The size charts are a good guide to sizing, but this cannot take in to account of the angle of the hoof, heel height and other features of the hooves which will ultimately also effect the fit of the boots.
