The loose ring french link thin mouth is a thinner version of the traditional french link, which suits horses with large tongues or small mouths, and those that tend to lean on thicker bits. The french link is often favoured by horses as the lack of palette pressure makes the bit more comfortable and relieves pressure on the horses bars. Often wrongly mistaken for a Dr Bristol, the french link snaffle is a very kind bit, as the central plate is shaped and lies flat on the tongue passively.
