DESCRIPTION & FEATURES

The Korsteel Sweet Iron Jointed Loose Ring Snaffle is a nice bit for horses with a fairly large tongue or small mouth, as it is not too thick in the bars.

Made from Black iron and copper which slowly oxidises and rusts producing a sweet taste in the horse's mouth encouraging salivation and a more relaxed jaw.

Sweet iron is a good metal for horse bits, as it provides the horse with a 'taste', stainless steel is a very bland metal and a lot of horses find it difficult to relax and mouth a stainless steel bit.

Sweet iron to encourage salivation with a curved mouthpiece to reduce the nutcracker action
Can be used in dressage competitions
Bit strength: fairly mild
Cheeks and joints are made of stainless steel so they will not rust and bind
