D cheek snaffle with jointed mouthpiece, made from stainless steel using the investment cast, lost wax method for the highest quality finish. The D cheek of this jointed snaffle has a more positive action than an eggbutt, making turning easier and helping to prevent the bit from being dragged through the horses mouth. The jointed mouth gives a nutcracker effect on the bars of the horses mouth and can contact the palate, can be useful with young horses especially those with a larger mouth.

D cheek Snaffle Jointed Mouth features:

Works on the bars and roof of the mouth due to the nutcracker action
Can sometimes help prevent the horse from getting its tongue over the bit due to the high nature of the bit mouthpiece in the horses mouth when in use
The D cheek snaffle can be used in dressage competitions
Bit strength: fairly mild
