The Shires Velociti GARA Bib Martingale is a popular martingale with racing and breeding yards.

Similar in function to a traditional running martingale, but with a solid central piece between the straps of the running martingale, the bib martingale helps to keep the reins together and prevent the horse from trying to catch the straps in his mouth which can lead to injury and panic (common for stallions, colts and riggy horses to try and do with any flapping straps they can see!).
